These docs will show you how to add more prompts to AI Copilot.
Copy a Google Sheet
It’s easiest to start with an existing sheet you can customize later.
Pick one below that most closely describes you!
For General Use | ||
For Marketers | ||
For Customer Success | ||
For HR & Recruiting | ||
For Sales | ||
For Prompts Daily Readers (Ultimate Prompt Hub) | ||
For Job Hunters |
Use the View link to see the spreadsheet, and click Copy to add it to your drive. When clicking Copy you’ll be directed to a new tab inviting you to copy the file to your Google Drive.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll be immediately directed to the new Google Sheet. You should see a tab explaining how this Sheet works. You can ignore that tab for now because you’ve got me here 👋
Add your new Google Sheet to the mod
Now time to connect that Sheet to your AI Copilot.
Open up the AI Copilot; below the title, you’ll see text inviting you to Add your own prompts.
Click that text, and the Sidebar shifts to the activation options you saw before. Last time, we ignored the Spreadsheet field, but this time we’re going to use it!
Click the Select button next to that field, and you’ll be prompted to sign in to your Google account.
!! Important: Make sure you choose the same Google account you’re currently signed into from your browser. If you want to use another Google account, create a new browser profile or sign into the account you’d like to use from another Chrome tab.
After picking your Google account, approve some permissions and give access to your Google Drive. Then, you’ll select your newly created Google Sheet. It should be right at the top and easy to access!
Click the sheet, then click Select once more. Now you’ll see the name in the field, and you’re ready to click that purple Finish Activating button again.
Try out your new prompts
Now open the AI Copilot, and instead of the prompts and buttons you saw before, they’re different (depending on which Sheet you copied)!
The AI Copilot works the same way as before. Highlight text and click the buttons to have it run a prompt on that selected text, or click Select… from the dropdown field to choose a prompt and fill in the inputs.
You might have also noticed that the text below AI Copilot has changed to Edit Prompts in Google Sheets, making it clear where your prompts are coming from. Click that link to see which sheet it’s reading from and to customize or add your own prompts.
